The fourth generation of the Toyota Prado has been on sale since 2009. The vehicle was refreshed in 2013, and since then everything has been the same. It appears that this will change soon because Toyota is introducing the fourth generation of this excellent vehicle called the 2017 Toyota Prado. If the rumors are true, the 2017 Toyota Prado will be completely redesigned. The vehicle belongs to mid-size SUV category. It has been offered in many variants and versions, but the company claims that the 2017 generation will knock your socks off. Let’s check if these allegations are true immediately.
The 2017 Toyota Prado has an excellently redesigned exterior and it is now available in a great number of color options. It now has a newly designed front grille which arrives as chrome plated or blackened out depending on a model you choose. The newcomer also has halogen headlights. It is provided with a set of excellent 17 inch alloy wheels that are designed to have bigger arches than the previous model. The 2017 Toyota Prado will be available in several trim levels including VX, GX, GXLY and Kakadu. The customers will also be able to choose between seven exterior colors for their new model.
The interior design of this iconic mid-size SUV will be as perfect as its exterior design. The dashboard will arrive with touch screen display with a lot of commands. The seats of the vehicle will be similar to the ones we have seen in the outgoing model, but that doesn’t mean that you will be offered less comfort. The seats are highly comfy for sure. They get a slight curve to improve their supportive aspect since the customers have complained that the seats in the outgoing model were rather flat and pretty uncomfortable during long trips. The SUV arrives with three rows of seats, whereas the third row is easily accessible. It appears that the seats, door trims and steering wheel will be wrapped in leather. The customers will be offered three interior colors. Some other features that find their place inside of the cockpit are downhill assist control, active traction control, back-up camera, hill assist control and much more.
The performance section of the vehicle will probably remain the same, although these are only speculations. If this is to happen, the 2017 Toyota Prado will be offered with two engine options, a 3.0 liter diesel engine and a 4.0 liter V6 engine. The diesel variant generates around 170 hp while the level of torque is around 302 lb-ft. If you think that this engine is not powerful enough, in that case you can choose a 4.0 liter V6 engine which enables you to get the maximum output around 270 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque.
