The new redesigned 2016 Toyota Yaris will continue to be distributed in 3 and 5 door lift-back version. Coming in a fresh skin, the manufacturers claim that the new model will address the many shortcomings in the older version. One notable feature is the retuned suspensions and a better sound insulation making the subcompact quieter. The smaller version of Yaris is powered by 4-cylinder engine, a 1.5 liter and with variable valve timing.

The standard model has 5-speed manual transmission but you can get an optional 4-speed automatic and electronically controlled transmission. Both models are tuned for higher efficiency. On offer will be a 1.0 liter model that produces 69 horsepower and 95Nm of torque and 1.33 liter petrol engines with 99 horsepower and 125Nm torque. The 1.5 liter D-4D will produce 90 horsepower and 205 Nm torque. The fourth type of engine will be a hybrid which will combine an electric motor and a 1.5 liter gasoline engine to produce 100 horsepower. The ignition is electrically designed.

The list of standard features include air conditioning, power door locks and windows, cruise control, wireless start button, dual zone climate control, a split 60/40 rear seat, tilt steering wheel, auto folding mirrors and much more. Inside, the SE line has sport fabric and leather-trim and also makes the 2016 Toyota Yaris a sportier ride with outside LED lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.
All models will have phone connectivity and HD radio and 6.1 inch touch screen from the new Toyota’s Entune infotainment system. There will also be a first time option of a deal navigation system.

The base L model will go for around $14,900 while the SE that will have automatic transmission will be priced up to about $17,700 – the prices are not cast on stone and may change upwards. The prices will increase by around 3 percent over the previous model. Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant in Onnaing, France will build the Yaris.
